There is certainly no other show quite like it.

In fact, Equestria is more than just a show. It is a festive season extravaganza that combines world-class indoor show-jumping and an array of dazzling equestrian displays with a bouquet of live performances and a specially-choreographed pantomime – all underpinned by a magical Christmas theme.

The dog agility has become a firm favourite with the audience and the inaugural Indoor Mounted Games showcased in 2006, will return this year with the accent on them becoming a fully fledged competition whereby competitors will via for the coveted titles.

Equestria also offers the local equestrian trade a rare opportunity to showcase its clubs, companies and products in an expansive exhibition hall attracting key visitors as well as the greater general public.

Equestria is now internationally recognised and we welcome International exhibitors to capitalise on this event and enter a lucrative emerging equestrian market in Southern Africa.

The company's core value is to promote and showcase all aspects of the equestrian sport in our country and to build The South African Shetland Pony Grand National into a profitable CSI initiative to promote the equestrian sport at grass roots level amongst the previously disadvantaged children.

Quote, our patron, Mr Gary Player Equestria 2006 Official Programme:

"Staging an event of this magnitude takes enormous courage and a lot of hard work.
I congratulate the Equestria team on a job excellently executed.”

This year’s event will take place from 30th November to 2nd December
at the
Coca-Cola Dome, Northgate.

Equestria 2007 has all the makings of a bumper Christmas show

Key highlights of this year’s Equestria are:

Equestria was born in 2005 when Elizabeth Mohr – event owner and organiser – introduced this unique concept in family entertainment, with the promise of making it a new South African festive season tradition.

She has delivered on her promise, bringing Equestria back to Johannesburg in 2006 for the second time. And now in 2007 she moves forward with a more spectacular offering of entertainment filled with the fantasy of Christmas.
